The Marshall County School System recently received federal assessment and accountability data, and the results for the 2024-2025 school year deemed the school district as an Advancing District. Three Marshall County schools have also earned the distinction of “Reward School” by the Tennessee Department of Education–Chapel Hill Elementary School, Cornersville School, and Forrest School.
Schools are recognized as a Reward School when they demonstrate high levels of performance and/or improvement in performance by meeting their annual measurable objectives across performance indicators and student groups.
Additionally, MCSS earned a Level 5 TVAAS Growth Score as an entire district and had four individual schools attain Level 5 TVAAS Growth: Forrest School, Lewisburg Middle School, Marshall County High School, and Delk-Henson Intermediate School. A Level 5 growth score indicates that the school has achieved the highest possible rating for student academic growth, meaning students are learning and progressing at a rate significantly above what is expected. TVAAS Growth is a combination of all four subject areas, Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies.
“We are proud of what we accomplished last year as a district. Congratulations are especially in order for the administrators, teachers, and staff members at our three Reward Schools and our schools with Level 5 TVAAS growth. Our county is blessed to have hardworking, dedicated educators who strive every day to help students, learn, improve, thrive, and succeed!”
