Several local Marshall County Veterans attended the annual Veterans Day on the Hill on Jan. 31 at the Cordell Hull State Office Building in Nashville.

The event gave Veterans the opportunity to meet with state legislators and see firsthand how state government works. The primary purpose of the day was to support and advocate for legislative bills that TNVET member organizations formulated and approved for the Tennessee Legislative Session.

Tennessee Veterans (TNVET) membership is made up of state veteran organizations, who work together to address the legislative needs of Veterans, active duty military, and their families.

These members represent all branches of military. TNVET is 100% nonpartisan.
