2024 Cornersville High School top ten

The Cornersville High School Senior Class of 2024 will graduate on Thursday, May 16, 2024. Seventy-eight seniors are eagerly awaiting on this important once in a life time event.

In December, 28 students graduated.

Principal Brent Adcox has this special statement concerning this senior class: “The class of 2024 is a special class for me. I have watched them grow and mature all the way from kindergarten. As the principal, this has been a top notch class that has great leadership and work ethic. The top ten seniors are some of the most academically competitive students that we have ever had graduate. There is no doubt that this top ten, as well as the rest of the class of 2024, will have success in their future endeavors.”

To graduate with State Honors the student must meet ACT benchmarks; make an 18 in English; a 22 in math and reading; a 23 in science. To graduate with State Distinction, the student must have a B average and meet one of the following criteria:  Summa Cum Laude, GPA-Weighted GPA 4.25 and more. Magna Cum Laude, GPA – Weighted GPA 4.000-4.2499. Cum Laude, GPA –Weighted GPA 3.75 – 3.9999.

Jayli A. Childress, daughter of Jeff Childress and Crystal Horn, is the 2024 Valedictorian. Jayli will graduate with State Honors, State Distinction, and summa cum laude. She plans to attend the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and major in accounting.

Lillie M. Newton, the 2024 Salutatorian, plans to attend University of Tennessee Southern and major in elementary education. She is the daughter of Chesley and Jessica Newton. Lillie will graduate summa cum laude, with State Honors and State Distinction.

Lily Gayle Ledford is the daughter of Barry and Laura Ledford. She will graduate summa cum laude, with State Honors and State Distinction. Lily plans to attend the University of Alabama and major in accounting.

Anna M. Wood is the daughter of Sean Wood and Tina Woodard. Anna will graduate summa cum laude, with State Honors and State Distinction. Anna is undecided on her future plans at this time.

Blaine Woodard is the son of Bradley and Becky Woodard. He will graduate summa cum laude with State Honors. Blaine plans to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin in the fall and major in exercise science.

Annabelle K. Mulliniks will graduate summa cum laude, with State Honors and State Distinction. Her parents are Matt and Allison Mulliniks. Annabelle plans to major in agriculture at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

Kale B. Adcox is the son of Brent and Lori Adcox. Kale will graduate summa cum laude and with State Honors and State Distinction. He plans to attend Mississippi State University in the fall and major in environmental engineering.

Isabela M. Robinson is the daughter of David and Christy Robinson. She will graduate with State Honors, State Distinction, and summa cum laude. Isabela plans to attend the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and major in construction management.

Alexandra Rae Williams is the daughter of Mikey and Jessica Williams. She plans to attend Middle Tennessee State University and major in allied science. Allie Rae will graduate with State Honors, State Distinction, and summa cum laude.

Sarah H. Holliman is the daughter of Bradford and Lori Holliman. She will graduate with State Honors, State Distinction, and summa cum laude. Her plans are to attend Middle Tennessee State University in the fall and major in biology.
