James Hubreen Looney

James Hubreen Looney, 91, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Monday, November 4, 2024, at Williamson Medical Center.

Hubreen was born November 6, 1932, in Lewisburg, Tennessee, to the late James and Madelle Welch Looney. He was employed at ICP for 30 years in Quality Control. In his retirement years, he enjoyed farming, fishing, golfing and working for his church. He served as City Magistrate for one year and was a member of the Cornersville Lion’s Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his wife, Jean Looney, who passed in May 2024; sister, Elaine Bills; brothers, A.V. Looney and Douglas Looney; grandson, Matthew Looney; daughter-in-law, Donna Looney.

He is survived by two daughters, Donna (Herbie) Park and Pam (John) Worsham both of Cornersville; son, Ricky Looney of Petersburg; seven grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Judy) Looney of Pulaski; sisters-in-law, Linda Looney and Judy Edwards.

Visitation with the family was held at Richland Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 12 until 2 p.m.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Richland Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
